Interactive Television (from Canal Digitaal)
When you add television to your Freedom internet subscription, you'll receive Canal Digitaal's interactive television service. With this service, you can watch everything on your TV, record, play back, and watch many programs at your convenience. Even when you're not at home, you can easily watch your favorite sports events, programs, series, or movies within the EU using the Canal Digitaal TV app on your laptop, tablet, or phone.
What's included in your television subscription? If you choose a TV subscription, for € 13 per month, you'll receive the following with the 'TV Standaard' subscription:
- Over 80 TV channels
- 1 TV receiver (Amino Aria A710)
- Standard inclusion of Film1
- Canal Digitaal App for use on 5 devices (up to 2 simultaneously)
- Pause, TV Gemist (Missed TV), and Begin Gemist (Start Over)
- Live TV via your web browser
- Access to Canal+ Series
If you want the ability to record (up to 100 hours in the cloud) and watch ESPN (ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN 3, and ESPN 4), you can choose the 'TV Compleet' subscription for € 16 per month.
If you want to add extra (sports) channels to your subscription, you can opt for the Ziggo Sport and/or Entertainment package.
When you purchase television through Freedom, there is a one-time € 25 connection fee, and you agree to Canal Digitaal's terms and conditions.
The new way of watching television
Watching television nowadays doesn't necessarily require a TV receiver. You can also stream a program or movie from your mobile or tablet to your TV. We refer to this as the new way of watching television.

If you already have an internet subscription and would like to add a TV subscription, you can! Send an email to helpdesk@freedomnet.nl.
Pause, catch up on missed TV, and start over
Both the TV Standaard and TV Compleet packages include the options to pause, catch up on missed TV, and start over. However, the availability of these options may vary depending on the channel. You can find this information clearly listed in the channel lineup on the Canal Digitaal website. If you want to be able to watch and record ESPN channels, then choose the TV Complete package.
TV receiver
With a TV subscription, you will receive a TV receiver, specifically the Amino Aria A710. You can easily connect it by using a network cable to link it with your modem and an HDMI cable to your television. The TV receiver also requires power. This power supply, along with the HDMI cable and the network cable, is provided. If you have more than one television in your home, you can choose to order multiple TV receivers. An additional TV receiver costs €4 per month. You can order a maximum of 5 receivers per subscription. Please note that you cannot open apps like Netflix or Videoland on the TV receiver. Canal Digitaal TV app
With your TV subscription, you also receive access to the Canal Digitaal TV app. Through this app, you can watch every sports match, program, series, or movie anytime and anywhere within the EU on your TV, tablet, laptop, or mobile device. You can install the app on up to 5 devices and watch on a maximum of 2 devices simultaneously. Additionally, with your TV Compleet subscription, you can record up to 100 hours of programs in the Cloud and watch them at your convenience. If you prefer not to have a Canal Digitaal TV receiver, you can choose to subscribe only to the app. You can do this directly through Canal Digitaal.

Canal Digitaal Live TV via your web browser
When you purchase a TV subscription or the Canal Digitaal app separately, you also receive access to Canal Digitaal Live TV via your web browser. However, the channel selection is limited when you have only purchased the Canal Digitaal app and not the TV receiver.
